Benjamin Pothier est un artiste-chercheur et un réalisateur.
Il est membre fondateur du Collectif pluridisciplinaire Cellule0038753K, ses films (documentaires, clips vidéo, art vidéo et courts métrages) ont notamment été présentés lors de la rétrospective des dix ans de Cellule0038753K au Festival NEMO 2004 et à la Science Gallery , Trinity College, en 2010
Il a étudié les Arts imprimés, la Vidéo et le Cinéma à l’Institut d’Arts Visuels d’Orléans et est titulaire d’un Master en Arts avec mention pour la portée sociale de son travail de recherche. Il a également étudié la Chorégraphie, la Scénographie et pratiqué la Danse Contemporaine au contact de Joseph Nadj et des intervenants du Centre Chorégraphique National d’Orléans , de 2000 à 2008, à la Fondation Boris Vian (Paris) et à Turku (Finlande) sous la direction de Masaki Iwana et Moeno Wakamatsu. Et auprès de Hino Akira Senseï et d'un grand nombre d'autres Artistes et enseignants
Il a travaillé comme directeur artistique pour des labels de musique et des institutions telles que la DRAC Centre ou la Caisse des Monuments Historiques
En tant que Réalisateur il a notamment travaillé pour La Compagnie des Alpes, le Festival International du film documentaire de Nyon "VISIONS du Réel" et la conférence internationale LIFT
Il était le seul français présent et sélectionné sur la Station de recherche de Kilpisjarvi, dans le cercle Arctique, lors de la résidence internationale Field_Notes

Benjamin Pothier is an artist-researcher and a director .
He is a founding member of the artists collective Cellule0038753K, one of the first french VJ crew and Interactive Installation & films producers and directors
Their films (documentaries, music video, video art) have been shown in various international festivals including a ten years retrospective of Cellule0038753K at NEMO Festival 2004 (Paris)
and D.A.T.A Event 44.0 at the Science Gallery, Trinity College, Dublin (2010)
Benjamin has studied Print (etching, silkprint), Video and Cinema at the Institut of Visual Arts (Orleans) where he received a Master in Art magna cum Laude for the social implications of his work
He also has studied Arts, Choreography, Scenography and Contemporary Dance with Joseph Nadj at the National Choreographic Center of Orleans. With Iwana Masaki and Moeno Wakamatsu at Boris Vian Foundation (Paris) and in Turku (Finland). And with Hino Akira Senseï , amongst other Artists, performers and teachers
As a Director he has worked for Institutions, Music labels and international Events including Nyon Film Festival "Visions du Réel" and the LIFT Conference.
He was the only French Artist selected for the FIELD_NOTES residency at Kilpisjarvi Biological Station in The Arctic Circle
